NextGen Estimating

Construction Technology

Did you know that October is Careers in Construction Month?

Careers in Construction Month (CICM) is a nationwide campaign held every October to increase public awareness of possible careers in construction. Designed to inspire the next generation of trade professionals, this campaign highlights how having construction careers can positively impact individuals and communities.

NextGen Estimation by ConstructConnect® Academy

NextGen Estimation is an initiative that ConstructConnect started last year as an extension of their Academy series. This program is dedicated to alerting the next generation of young professionals to available opportunities in the construction industry.

This outreach program invites educators and interested youth to learn more about estimation by joining the online virtual workshop. There are even possibilities to have a ConstructConnect expert present in a classroom near you! The goals of the NextGen Estimation platform are:

  • To nurture career exploration with an interactive experience that offers students a chance to learn from a leader in the industry.
  • To educate young professionals on the different career paths in construction, particularly in estimation.
  • To offer valuable insights into the roles and responsibilities of an estimator, a career path that offers a great starting salary and abundant growth opportunities.
  • To inspire and equip students with the knowledge and resources they need to pursue a career in estimation.

The Next Generation of Construction Professionals

Join us for the free, NextGen virtual session on October 16th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT.

Do you know an educator, student, or someone interested in attending the virtual NextGen session or in an in-classroom presentation?

Please share this page with them for all the information and ways to sign up for the virtual session, request an in-person session, and find more resources for students looking to learn about the construction industry.
