Evergreen Retirement Community announced it acquired the former Kimberly-Clark North Office at 401 North Lake Street in Neenah, Wisconsin. The 43-acre property will undergo a major redevelopment to address the increasing demand for senior housing in the region.

Evergreen, a nonprofit based in Oshkosh, announced plans to transform the existing buildings into independent and assisted living units specifically designed for residents aged 55 and older.

Additionally, the organization is exploring the construction of new facilities, which may include independent living homes, a fitness and aquatic center, a worship space, and a performance venue.

The former Kimberly-Clark Headquarters, located at 401 North Lake Street in Neenah, was built in 1956. The Wisconsin Historical Society said the buildings feature a two-story executive wing, a central office wing, and a cafeteria, accommodating up to 800 employees. The former Kimberly-Clark campus was in operation until late 2020 when company employees relocated as part of a corporate restructuring initiative.
