Over the next 20 years, the data center project is expected to generate $218.4 million in local revenues and contribute $128 million to Genesee County, the Town of Alabama, and local schools. Additionally, Stream will pay $40 million to local fire districts and municipalities.
GCEDC President Mark Masse said that the project was chosen for its minimal environmental impact compared to competing proposals and its alignment with STAMP’s vision of attracting advanced manufacturing and semiconductor companies, the Rochester Business Journal reported.
Construction timelines have yet to be announced.
