Top 10 Construction Starts by Dollar Volume: February 2025

In the February Construction Economy Snapshot, ConstructConnect Chief Economist Michael Guckes reported that the January 20245 volume of Total Nonresidential construction starts—the sum of Nonresidential Building and Heavy Engineering—was $46.2 billion, an increase of $584 million, or 1.3%, compared to an upwardly revised December reading of $45.6 billion.

Guckes provided a list of the top ten Nonresidential Construction Starts by dollar volume through January 2025 (chart below), which includes Heavy, Industrial, Institutional, and Commercial construction categories.
