Top 10 Construction Starts by Dollar Volume: October 2024

 

In the November Construction Economy Snapshot, ConstructConnect Chief Economist Michael Guckes reported the October 2024 volume of Total Nonresidential construction starts—the sum of Nonresidential Building and Heavy Engineering—was $59.0 billion, an increase of $3.8 billion, or 6.8%, compared to an upward revised September reading of $55.2 billion. 

Guckes provided a list of the top ten Nonresidential Construction Starts by dollar volume through October 2024 (chart below), which includes Heavy, Industrial, Institutional, and Commercial construction categories.
